Itinerary:
Day 1: (A)
Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters): transfer to hotel. Be met by your airport representative and transferred to hotel. Spend your evening relatively free, and get familiar with the area by going for a stroll down the street. In the evening your Tour Manager will meet you at your hotel to brief you on program during your stay in Nepal. Have supper, and then rest and enjoy your first overnight in the city of cows and temples, probably the most in the world.
Day 2: Overnight at Hotel (A, B)
Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. After a good night’s rest and a hearty breakfast at the hotel, set out for a Sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu valley which begins in Kathmandu Durbar square. Visit Swayambunath (Monkey temple) in the morning and sightseeing in Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhnath Stupa in the afternoon. Kathmandu is a wonderful mix of the ancient and the new. This includes western influences that sometimes makes visiting the capital an interesting place to spend time in as the old stubbornly jostles for its place with rising attractions from Europe and the west. Some of the sites you visit are UNESCO declared world heritage sites and you will truly enjoy visiting these ancient monuments and learning of their mystic history thanks to your professional guide.
Note: you can take a one-hour scenic Everest Experience mountain flight in the morning before the tours starts. Please inform Escape Nepal Holidays when booking to make the arrangement.
