By visiting a local home you'll gain a better understanding of life on the lake and your guide will be more than happy to translate your questions to your hosts. Return to the port and take a 15-minute drive to the silk farm of Artisans d’Angkor, where people with underprivileged backgrounds are given an opportunity to improve their livelihoods by reviving the ancient crafts of making art and producing silk.
