Brand: Lifewise
SKU: 2242454
Price: 25.00 NZD
Availability: Discontinued

Want to make a real difference for the homeless in Auckland? For only $25*, you can buy a homeless person five warm, nourishing meals at Lifewise’s Merge Café and contribute to helping us continue to provide social worker support services upstairs at the Hub.
Lifewise Merge Café prepares hot, fresh meals every day and sells them for as little as possible. That’s one freshly cooked square meal for $5*.
When a homeless person walks in to Lifewise Merge Café for a meal, they get more than nourishment. They find the help they need. They get connected with a Lifewise support worker who can help them with things like getting an ID, registering with WINZ, and counselling.
Your donation is the first step towards giving a homeless person a chance at a new start. Lifewise has a “no band aids” approach to ending homelessness. With the kind of support Lifewise offers to homeless people, along with following the Housing First model, your donation will go a long way towards helping us end homelessness in Auckland.

About Lifewise:

Lifewise is an innovative social agency that isn’t afraid to do things differently. We go further than just meeting people’s immediate needs – we help people turn their lives around for good. Lifewise supports people of all ages including families in need, those who are homeless, as well those affected by addiction, mental health issues and disabilities.

We are most well-known for the Lifewise Big Sleepout – when business, community and political leaders spend a night sleeping rough to raise the funds we need to end homelessness in NZ. Lifewise’s housing-first approach has been hugely successful at helping vulnerable people get off the streets for good, giving them the support they need to get back on their feet.

* Meals at Lifewise Merge Café are available for $4 (GST inclusive), however, prices in this special deal include an additional $5 that goes towards helping Lifewise’s continue to provide social worker support upstairs at the Hub. Proceeds go direct to Lifewise Housing & Crisis Response (subject to a 1.98% processing fee). Please note, donations made to Lifewise Housing & Crisis Response via GrabOne may not be eligible for charitable donation rebates; please contact Inland Revenue for more information if required.
