Details

All participants must provide the following prerequisite information prior to attending training:

A current medical certificate
STCW certification that you already hold for the courses you wish to refresh
A sea service letter: Please note this needs to be signed by the ship’s captain or delegate. This being the company you worked for and confirm that the mandatory abandonment drills have been completed
Hours at sea: This can be your log book or please complete the table on page one of the Sea Service Letter. Please note, hours must be three months in the last six months or one year in the last five years
Be at least 18 years of age (for STCW PISC only)
Failure to provide prerequisite information prior to training will result in your booking being cancelled

STCW Total Refresher includes:

STCW Basic Refresher (two days)
STCW Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher (one day)
STCW PISC Refresher (one day)

Accommodation Package Includes:

Stay at the Devon Hotel in New Plymouth (based on number of nights purchased)

Should sufficient student numbers not be achieved within 5 working days of a scheduled course, Wood Group Training reserves the right to cancel the course. Notification of course cancellation will be provided via phone or email at least 5 days prior to the scheduled course date. If a student fails to attend the course with no prior notification the full course price will be charged. Any change to course dates or cancellation of a course must be advised to the Customer Services Advisor in writing at least 5 working days prior to course commencement. If a change or cancellation is made within the 5-day period it will result in a charge of 50% of the total course cost. All courses are inclusive of: training and instruction, course consumables, training manuals and pens, assessment to relevant NZQA Unit Standards and participant P.P.E. Safety boots, which are required for specific courses, are excluded and participants will be advised if these are required for their course. All students attending courses with Wood Group Training must have a high level of literacy. Failure to disclose a literacy problem prior to attending the course (10 days prior) may result in a student being removed from the class. If the training course is conducted at Wood Group Training premises the following is also included; all associated training equipment and facilities, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, transport from Wood Group Training Centre to Hot Fire Training Ground at Oaonui for relevant fire courses. Valid photo ID required for all courses. All students attending training with Wood Group Training, who are governed by an Alcohol and Drug policy under the company they have been booked by, may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing whilst on site.
