Having left the city and corporate life behind them, Antoinette and Leonard Naera moved to the country to pursue their dream of introducing the amazing history of the Hokianga to people from all around the country and world. According to oral history, Kupe was Aotearoa’s first inhabitant, landing at Te Pouahi, the first bay on the northern side of the Hokianga, around 925 AD.
