Zealandia by Night Guided Tour:
Explore the sanctuary by torchlight as your guide leads you in search of some of the more distinctive sights and sounds of New Zealand’s native forest. Experience many of the rare and endangered species and see those which only come out at night. See unique species such as weta, glow worms, and tuatara. Your group may see some of the 130 little spotted kiwi who call Zealandia home - sightings of kiwi are common on these tours (circa 80%), but are not guaranteed. Gain insights into New Zealand’s natural history and the significance of the unique species within Maori culture. The tour will end with a replenishing cup of hot kawakawa (bushman’s tea) in the Visitors Centre.

Online bookings are essential. Subject to availability and weather conditions. Two-hour Day tours depart daily at 10.00am, 11.00am and 1.00pm. Max 10 people per tour. Child ages for day tours are 5-17 years. Night tours depart around dusk, please check the online booking system for exact times. Max 12 people per tour. Child ages for night tour are 12-17 years, this experience is not suitable for under 12's. No cancellations, if you fail to attend your voucher will be nul and void. Visitors must arrive at the ZEALANDIA Visitor Centre at least 15 minutes ahead of your tour. Comfortable walking shoes, warm clothing and a waterproof layers are recommended.
