About Heretaunga Women's Centre:
At Heretaunga Women's Centre they work collectively for positive change for women. They believe in sharing skills and strengths to provide women with resources to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and a safe environment for support and companionship.
The Centre started life in 1921 as a Women’s Rest: a place where women could come to rest, feed their babies and take lunch with friends. Over the years thousands have welcomed the location of the nursery and toilets.
Today, they also offer confidential, non-judgemental support in the form of fun social groups and services such as counselling and legal advice. Have a look at what they offer, and come in to see them next time you’re nearby.
