About Ngunguru Golf Club:
The Ngunguru Golf Club is open for casual green fee players and visitors are welcome to join in our haggles. It is set in a valley with scenic views from two tees which are up slight hills and is an interesting course with a few water features set to challenge players. It is a nine-hole course with the second nine having several different tees and red flags on the greens from different position for the back nine.
The Ngunguru Golf Club was established in 1989 after the land became available for sale in 1988. A committee was formed in 1989 and the action began with Doug Finlayson and Bob Johnson being the instigators of the course when the local council purchased the property, and it was arranged that the Golf Club could lease the land for a ‘peppercorn rental’. This original deal is still in force today. The course was built over several months with the help of volunteers and machinery donated by local contractors.
