Make a day of it and visit the famous Matakana Farmers Market (on each Saturday) or why not make a weekend of it!

Duration: 3 hours one way*(extra fee may apply) or 4-5 hours for the full round trip experience.

- Starting and finishing in Matakana, it is best to drive and park in the community carpark next to Matakana school. Cycle at your own pace, ideally starting no later than 10.00am.

You must be in Matakana no later than 10.30am to start your Pedal n Picnic (the 3rd stop requires you to be there by 11.30am sharp). If you wish to look around the village please allow time before this. Village Picnic needs a minimum of 3 days notice to book a picnic. Subject to availability. Please book well in advance for weekends as these tend to be busier than weekdays. No cancellations, no refunds, and any date changes permitted incur a $40 fee. At the time of order, please advise the merchant of any special dietary requirements. Wear comfortable footwear for the ride, if you are driving make sure you have picnic items like blanket, umbrella, togs, towel and sunscreen for your swim, otherwise pack what you need in a backpack. In the case of a vendor being closed a substitute will be made. All experiences are completed - rain, hail or shine, please check the weather forecast. Postponement is accepted with a minimum of 3 days notice with no charge. Postponement within 48-hours of notice will incur a $40 fee. While stocks last. No refunds unless required by law.
