Hydrotherapy (babies one-day to one-year of age):
As your baby moves around in the water, the treatment aims to aid the babies' balance and coordination, supporting their ability to learn to crawl, walk and swim. It is also designed to increase muscular and skeletal strength through the water's gentle resistance, as well as to aid digestive and circulatory systems, cardiovascular system, and stimulation and coordination. Waterproof nappies are provided.
There are three types of baths available:
- The Pod Spa, designed for babies under 3 months old.
- The Infant Spa, the more traditional type of bath, designed for babies three months to one year old.
- Lastly, there is their signature Buddy Spa, where up to four babies can float in the same bath at one time
Neonatal Massage Package (babies one-day to one-year of age):
Neonatal massage, performed by a trained therapist is designed to help the brain develop healthy attachments. The therapist goes through this with you, to show you the techniques, that way you can practice the neonatal massage at home, continuing the benefits for your attachment and your baby's development. Any products used during the neonatal massage are approved by the parents, are all New Zealand made and natural, with products such as Manuka Honey.
Please note: for both hydrotherapy and neonatal massage, there is one therapist per baby, and the parent is with the baby at all times - this is not a drop off service, but a safe, hygienic and developmentally beneficial experience for parent and baby alike. Please allow one full hour for the experience.
