Handy Tip:
- If the fresh crayfish are still exhibiting some residual movement, just put them in the freezer or a sink full of tap-water for 30 mins (pro tip: you can cover the sink with a breadboard if you wish). These are the most humane ways to send your crayfish off to permanent sleep.
Cooking Instructions
- Bring water to boil
- Once the water is boiling put the crayfish in the pot. The water will stop boiling at this point.
- Once the water starts to boil again give the crayfish 7 – 8 minutes to cook through. The shell of the crayfish should be a vibrant orange/red colour.
- Pull the crayfish out of the boiling water and cool instantly in icy cold water.
