Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel:
Arrive at Kathmandu airport, you will be met by an airport representative and transferred to the hotel, for your first night in Kathmandu at a three-star standard hotel.
Day 2: Full day of sightseeing Kathmandu valley (B):
After having Breakfast at hotel, they will take you for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley and the tour will include a visit of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa and return to hotel. You will have some free time to shop for your trekking gear around Thamel area if you need and stay overnight at a three-star standard hotel.
Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding (four hours) (B, L, D):
After having an early breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu, they will drive you to the Kathmandu airport and take an early morning 35 minute scenic flight to the small mountain airport Lukla, after reaching Lukla, your trekking guide will introduce the porters, then start trekking following the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River, it is an easy trek and takes about 3-4 hours to reach Phakding, you will stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (six hours) (B, L, D):
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will start the trek following the Dudh Koshi river and cross over it a few times and enter the park in Jorsale where you will stop for lunch and then continue the trek, after a few hours of walking, Namche Bazar will appear ahead as you travel along the path surrounded by pines, you will pass the plateau where the Saturday bazaar is held and enter the village, the Namche Bazar is surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges and opens out only where it faces the Duch koshi. The village is a central hub of the area and food, Sundrie and even mountain climbing equipment may be purchased here, you will stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 5: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatisation (B, L, D):
The Namche Bazaar is tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea shops and souvenir shops as well as a magnificent outlook. It is an ideal place to spend a rest day for acclimatisation to the high altitude before heading off towards Everest base camp, you will walk up to Khumjung village through Everest view hotel in Syangbuche and you will see the beautiful view of the Himalayas including Mt Everest , the Khumjung is densely populated by Sherpa community and there is an old monastery which you will visit and then return to Namche for an overnight stay in a lodge.
Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyanboche (five hours) (B, L, D):
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will start the trek with the ridge trail and flat level mountain path that offers excellent panoramas of Thamserku, Kantega, and Kusum Kangrib, after walking a few hours on flat Zigzags. You will descend to the river and arrive at Phunki Tenga, then climb through Rhododendron forest to the Tengbuche monastery, you will check into the lodge and will have time to visit the Monastery if you are interested and stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 7: Trek from Tyanboche to Dingboche (five hours) (B, L, D):
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will start the trek and descend through Rhododendron forest to the Imja Khola and cross an exciting suspension bridge and pass by a long Mani stone wall to enter the village of Pangboche, the route continues through summer pastures to Dingboche village, you will check in to a lodge and stay overnight.
Day 8: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatisation (B, L, D):
You have a rest day in Dingboche for an acclimatisation day. There are some breathtaking views of the North face of Ama Dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge as you explore this beautiful valley that leads up to Island Peak. It is a short walk and you will have a chance to relax in the afternoon. You will stay overnight at alodge.
Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (five hours) (B, L, D):
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will start the trek which leads you north for up to 50-minutes until you arrive at a mani-prayer Stupa. The trail is gentle looking down on Pheriche village, your walk offers views of the Mt. Tawache, Ama Dablam and to the north-Pokalde, Kongma-tse and the great wall of Nuptse, after two hours of walking, the trail from Pheriche joins near Dugla before a small wooden bridge over the river of Khumbu glacier, you will continue for an hour up a steep hill to the top, where there are views of Mt. Pumori and west of Everest. After a short break, you will continue trekking up to Lobuche, you will check in to a lodge and stay overnight.
Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep (six to seven hours) (B, L, D):
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will start the trek to Base camp, following the rocky moraine path, glacial pond and icebergs down below of Khumbu glacier, there is a short downhill walk that brings you to Gorakshep, where you will stop for lunch. You will be able to leave your belongings at the lodge, you will then start the Himalayan journey to the Everest Base camp. After exploring the Base camp and surroundings, you will return to Gorekshep for an overnight stay at the a lodge.
Day 11: Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar and trek to Pheriche (seven hours) (B, L, D):
You will climb to Kala Patthar peak to enjoy the view of the sunrise, and from Kala Patthar, there will be a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks such as Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more, after seeing the sunrise over the Himalayas, you will trek down to Gorekshep and have breakfast and start trekking down to Pheriche, it is an easy trek down and you will stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (six hours) (B, L, D):
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will start the trek back to Namche Bazaar, it's an easy trek through Rhododendron forest. Tengbuche is a small village with a famous monastery offering you the splendid view of Ama Dablam, green hills and river views where you will stop for lunch and trek back to Namche where you will stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (six hours) (B, L, D):
This is your last trek of the Everest Base Camp trek adventure. After having breakfast at the lodge, you will start a pleasant trek down to Bhote-Koshi River and then climb uphill to Lukla. You will check in to a lodge and stay overnight.
Day 14: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel (B):
You will have an early breakfast and walk to Lukla airport to fly back to Kathmandu, you will then get a transfer to the hotel and have free time.
Day 15: Leisure day in Kathmandu (B):
Spend your day at leisure and stay overnight at a hotel. A day tour can be organised for you around Kathmandu if you wish. You will stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 16: Transfer to the international airport for your final departure (B):
You will be transferred to the international airport for your final departure.
