Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Hanoi Vietnam
Today you’ll land in Hanoi and this is where your adventure begins. Be warmly welcomed by our
a representative at airport then transfer to Hanoi Downtown, a city of lakes, shaded boulevards, public parks, and the capital of Vietnam. Check into your hotel. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise & Overnight Stay on Board
7.45am Early this morning, we’ll drive from Hanoi to one of the most magnificent scenic environments in the world, Halong Bay. Covering 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestones “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast onboard, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features handcrafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasantly air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi
Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay. After breakfast, explore Sung Sot cave, swim and relax. Brunch is served while you are cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations on the way back to the jetty. Cruise check-out. Rejoin car drive back to Hanoi for overnight. Arrive at Hanoi at 3:00pm. Check in hotel & free time to go sightseeing in the Old Quarter. Stay overnight in Hanoi. Optional water puppet show is available if you would like to make the reservation. There will be night market available if you are here on weekend nights (Fri, Sat, and Sun). Otherwise, wandering around Hanoi 36 old quarter for some shopping and street foods is also a memorable moment of your trip,
Day 4: Hanoi City Tour – Depart to Ho Chi Minh City
Take a short tour to visit Hanoi city landmarks including Hochiminh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, which was built by Ly Thai Tong and the Temple of Literature, founded by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong; stop in the heart of Hanoi at Hoan Kiem Lake, which contains an islet with a tiny Tortoise Pagoda. Also take the outside visit to the Opera House, St. Joseph Cathedral and make sure your camera is handy. Transfer to Noi Bai Airport for Ho Chi Minh City departure. Arrive in Tan Son Nhat airport in the evening. Pick up from airport then transfer to hotel for check-in. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels
After breakfast at hotel, you will have the morning section to enjoy a city tour that includes some impressive French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office. Then visit the Reunification Palace which was the residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of the war in April 1975. The War Remnants Museum is the must place to visit as well (if time permit). After enjoying the tasty local food, your day will continue with the afternoon trip to Cu Chi tunnel, the incredible network of tunnels that once stretched for 210 miles. This underground complex was built by guerilla fighters beginning in 1940 and construction continued throughout the Vietnam War. We return to our hotel for free at leisure to discover the Saigon nightlife. There is a lot of bar and nightclubs are available in Saigon downtown, especially on Pham Ngu Lao, Bui Vien, Dong Khoi streets etc. The guide will be happy to show you some when your car passes by at daytime.
Day 6: Mekong Delta Cruise full day – Siem Reap
Today takes you to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province. Situated on the Mekong River, 75 kilometres southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, the city is surrounded by orchards and rice fields, which produce grain for the entire country. Visit one or two of the islands that produce traditional handcrafts, coconut candy and bee farms. Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest one in the delta on your boat trip on the Mekong River. After the tour, transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for flight to Siem Reap. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 7: Siem Reap -The Small Circuit & Angkor Thom
Initially, you will explore the Small Circuit. This tour includes the huge pyramid of Takeo, and the jungle-clad Ta Prohm, made famous by the Hollywood blockbuster Tomb Raider, move on to explore the impressive Royal City of Angkor Thom, where you will find the Bayon, a temple famed for its many gigantic carved faces smiling beguilingly down at you. You will also visit other important sites in this immense walled city, including the pyramid of Baphuon, Phimeanakas, and the royal viewing stands known as the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon, it is time to further discover the magnificent Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious building. If you have the time your guide will take you to an excellent spot for watching a mesmerizing Angkor Wat sunset. Enjoy your welcome dinner with Khmer Traditional Show at the restaurant. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 8: Banteay Srei & the Grand Circuit
This morning you head 30km north to visit the captivating and beautiful temple of Banteay Srei or ‘Fortress of the Women’. The journey allows you to experience the beautiful Cambodian countryside as you pass through small typical villages, on-route you will visit Banteay Samre. Banteay Samre is an elaborately decorated temple, embellished with floral motifs and scenes from the Ramayana, all carved from pink sandstone. It is said the carvings must have been done by women as the detail is too fine for the hands of a man. After lunch you continue your Angkor encounter with a visit to the spectacular temples of the Grand Circuit, beginning with Preah Khan or ‘Sacred Sword’, one of the largest temples at Angkor. You continue to Neak Pean surrounded by fountains and ponds. Next is Ta Som and its famous strangler fig tree. Finally, you arrive at Pre Rup, a pleasant spot to experience another Angkor sunset if you wish. Return to hotel and overnight.
Day 9: Departure
Today you are free for leisure & shopping until transfer to airport for departure. Finish unforgettable
