Take some time out to experience historic Clyde and spend a day cycling on the trail that everyone is talking about, the Lake Dunstan Trail. Note, you need to be a confident rider to ride this trail as some sections are grade 3 (intermediate rider skill). You can find out more by watching this handy video.

Your Lake Dunstan Trail experience kicks off at 9 am with a briefing and bike fit. Today you’ll be riding an awesome Sinch E-Bike with a comfort geometry, just the ticket for taking in the breathtaking views on the trail.
Your transport to the Cromwell Heritage Precinct departs at 9:30 am and you’ll be pedalling by 10:00am. Your first stop might be exploring old Cromwell Town and another morning coffee or perhaps you’ll get some early Km’s under your belt. You’ll cycle 42km the heritage precinct to Clyde.
Along the way, you’ll pass by the gorgeous Carrick Vineyard with its Carrick Pizza Trailer & Wine Bar (open from 10:00am) and a little further on is the famous Coffee and Burger Afloat. Both provide excellent award-winning refreshments options for cyclists. Enjoy the vistas on the trail as you climb above the lake, cycle across the unique “clip-on” pathways and weave your way towards the enormous Clyde Hydro dam.
On arriving into Clyde, if you’re feeling thirsty then Olivers Restaurant and Bar, The Post Office Cafe and Bar or Paulina’s will all be happy to oblige. Top off the evening with a meal at one of the many quality local establishments. You’ll need to book ahead if you want to dine at Olivers, The Old Bank Clyde or the Post Office Cafe and Bar whereas Paulina’s operates on a first come first served basis. With two nights in Clyde, you might even want to take in a movie at the quaint Clyde cinema.
