Itinerary:
Day 1 - Kepler Track Guided Heli Hike
Experience a guided heli-hike on the Kepler Track. Begin with a spectacular flight by helicopter from Te Anau Township, over the hidden lakes to arrive at Luxmore Hut. The walk begins in the alpine area and then descends through a magnificent beech forest. The effects of different altitude and weather conditions experienced in Fiordland are clear to see, as the trees and undergrowth quickly change, creating a varied backdrop for your hike. The hike is concluded at the sandy beach of Brod Bay, the pick-up point for the water taxi back to Te Anau township.
Day 2 - Milford Track Guided Walk and Boat Cruise
Soak up the grandeur of a guided walk to Giant's Gate Falls on the world-famous Milford Track.
Start the day bright and early with a 2-hour scenic drive to Milford Sound. From here, you
take a short water taxi to Sandfly Point on the Milford Track. The walk meanders alongside
the cascading Arthur River through lush rainforest to Giant Gate Waterfall. This spectacular
sight is best viewed from the swing bridge spanning the river. The track is well-formed and
relatively flat, but can be rough underfoot in places.
After your walk enjoy Milford Sound's awe-inspiring scenery by boat. Cruise the full length of
the fiord and experience the grandeur of Mitre Peak, mountains and wildlife, as you sit back
and relax. Following the cruise you journey back to Te Anau by road.
Day 3 - Routeburn Track Guided Walk
Enjoy a guided walk to Key Summit on the renowned Routeburn Track Great Walk. This spectacular trail ascends through lush, temperate rainforest and onto a unique alpine herb field. On the summit, hikers experience panoramic views of mountains, alpine lakes, and deep, glacial carved bush-clad valleys. Walking in a small group, you'll love learning about this stunning natural environment from your friendly Trips & Tramps guide.
What to Bring:
An information PDF is passed onto guests prior to the trip to ensure they are prepared physically for their walks and have the correct equipment and clothing. At a minimum you will require comfortable walking boots/shoes, a waterproof jacket, warm clothing including hat and gloves, drinking water, and day pack. Note jeans and streetwear are not suitable clothing or footwear, please ensure you have suitable outdoor, activewear for the walks.
