Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport or railway station, meet a tour representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 2: Old Delhi City tour
After breakfast, begin a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, travelling by the Delhi Metro train. Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India – a strenuous climb to the top of its southern tower will reward you with a stunning view across the rooftops of Delhi. Later start the Rickshaw Ride to explore the old part of town which includes Chandni Chowk market, the Spice Market, and Red Fort - Delhi’s most famous monument. Later catch the train back to your hotel and stay overnight.
Day 3: Delhi / Mandawa
After breakfast proceed to Mandawa. Mandawa is a town in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in India. On arrival check in to the hotel, and later go sightseeing in Mandawa. Famous for its various Havelies and forts, visit Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli and other houses painted with colourful fresco art and painting. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 4: Mandawa / Bikaner
After breakfast proceed to Bikaner, a place very famous for beautiful forts and temples. On arrival check in at the hotel. Visit various famous tourist attractions including the Deshnoke Temple or Karni Mata Temple, Bhandasar Jain Temple or Banda Shah Jain Temple, and Junagarh Fort. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 5: Bikaner - Jaisalmer
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be driven to Jaisalmer, which is also known as “The Golden City”. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 6: Jaisalmer (overnight desert safari stay at Swiss Camp)
After breakfast at the hotel, visit Jaisalmer Fort, Gadi Sagar Lake, and various beautiful decorated Havelies. In the afternoon embark upon a great journey to visit the famous sand dunes located in Sum called “Thar Desert”. Situated 50km away from Jaisalmer, this is a wonderful retreat for all travellers. Enjoy the following activities and programmes: sunset camel rides on sand dunes, evening snacks with Rajasthani folk cultural dance activities, a buffet dinner offering Rajasthani cuisine, and an overnight stay in the desert camp.
Day 7: Jaisalmer / Jodhpur
Early morning after breakfast proceed to Jodhpur. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Jodhpur is famously called the Sun City, as the sun is visible there first every morning, and is famous for its magnificent forts and palaces. The second largest city in the state of Rajasthan is divided into the old city and new city. In the evening visit local markets and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Jodhpur sightseeing
After breakfast start a sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Ummaid Bhawan Palace, and the Mandore Gardens. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 9: Jodhpur / Udaipur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival check in to the hotel, and later transfer to the Lake Pichola for a sunset boat ride on the Pichola Lake, to catch a view of the Lake Palace of Udaipur. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 10: Udaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast start sightseeing in Udaipur. Visit the City Palace, Lake Pichola, and Fatehsagar Lake, plus Jagdish Temple, the largest and most venerated temple of Udaipur. Then continue on to the Garden of Maidens “Sahelion-ki-bari” and the Folk Art Museum, to view the interesting collection of puppets and paintings. Enjoy free time for your own activities. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 11: Udaipur / Pushkar
After breakfast proceed to Pushkar. On arrival check in to the hotel. In the evening visit Pushkar Market, which offers a variety of items, from Rajasthani costumes and puppets, embroidered fabrics, souvenirs, bangles and beads, decorative pieces and accessories, and many more handicraft items. Stay overnight at the hotel in Pushkar.
Day 12: Pushkar sightseeing and cooking experience
After breakfast begin sightseeing in Pushkar. Visit Pushkar Lake, Brahama Temple, and Savitri Temple. In the evening attend cooking class by a professional Indian chef followed by dinner. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 13: Pushkar / Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan state. Upon arrival, drive through Hawa Mahal. Your evening is free to explore the local markets in Jaipur. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 14: Jaipur City Tour
Early morning after breakfast proceed to a sightseeing tour of Jaipur. View the direct morning sunlight on the Hawa Mahal, the most amazing sight to see. Hawa Mahal is the most recognisable monument of Jaipur, a five-storied stunning semi-octagonal monument. Later you will be driven to Amer Fort where you can experience the Jeep or elephant ride from the old town to reach the Courtyard of Amer Fort. Also visit JalMahal, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the Albert Hall Museum. Return to the hotel overnight.
Day 15: Jaipur / Agra
After breakfast proceed to Agra and en-route visit Abhaneri, a village in the Dausa district of Rajasthan, popular for the Chand Baori step well and Harshat Mata Temple. Later proceed to Agra, and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 16: Agra / Delhi
Enjoy an early morning sunrise visit to Taj Mahal. You cannot think of Agra without thinking of TajMahal, the white marble beauty constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, MumtazMahal. (*Taj Mahal closed on every Friday). Later return to the hotel for breakfast, then check out and visit Agra Fort, a 16th-century monument proof of the architectural brilliance of Mughals. In the afternoon proceed to Delhi. Check in and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 17: New Delhi sightseeing
After breakfast start the sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, India Gate, and Laxmi Narayan Temple. Return to the hotel and enjoy a farewell dinner for all group members. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 18: Delhi Airport Drop
After breakfast you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to your onward destination.
