A car ferry operates from Opua across the bay to the Port of Okiato and the road to historic Russell township.  From Marina Cove it is an easy five-minute walk to English Bay or Lemons Bay, which provide safe swimming and a relaxing place to take in the sun away from crowds. There is also easy access to the doggy friendly Opua-Paihia coastal walkway.
