Travel Dates:
- Valid for 14 Feb to 17 Feb 2020
Includes:
Natural Healing Workshop (3.5 hours)
In this 3.5 hour workshop, they will look at the properties of essential oils and their wide variety of uses in your everyday lives. This will include experiencing a number of oils first hand and discussing how they are used in the Essential Oil Massage technique you will experience during the retreat. They will talk about the origins of Reiki, what it is, how it is practiced and what it can do for your health and wellbeing. They will also experience a group Chakra Balancing Meditation. Notes will be provided and a tea break will be included.
Reiki treatment (30 minutes)
Reiki is a natural, vibrational, healing practice which utilises the presence of universal life force energy or Ki. When your life force energy is high and flowing freely, you are healthy and happy. If your life force energy is low, you are vunerable to illness, depression and stress. Reiki is a natural way to accelerate the body’s own ability to heal on all levels. Theda and Jo will work together to deliver double Reiki to you; a powerful, synergistic Reiki technique.
Essential Oils Massage (60 minutes + consult)
Essential oils have been treasured for centuries for their potent healing properties. The Essential Oil Massage technique you will experience with Theda is tailored specifically to the unique needs of your body (determined in a consultation), to assist your healing on all levels. In this deeply relaxing treatment, Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils are applied along the back and feet in many layers, via a gentle massage technique. You are then wrapped up warmly to allow the oils to be absorbed.
Yoga Practice & Theory
Yoga teaches flexibility, strength, balance, postural alignment and encourages mind-body awareness for self-healing. In this retreat Jo will guide you through Yoga theory, combined with a Restorative Yoga session, as well as a Yoga Therapy session. Balancing body, mind and breath with traditional exercises facilitates improved mobility, can help reduce pain, calm the mind and create better health and well-being.
Meditation
Evening group meditation sessions will be offered after dinner.
Self-Guided Activities
They are pleased to offer you a number of optional self-guided activities to complement the scheduled inclusions. Reconnect with nature on one of the many bush and beach walking trails nearby, including two of New Zealand’s Top 10 walks. Or reconnect with yourself and what you want in life with a creative technique to help you re-design your life.
Meals & Accommodation
Your retreat includes 3 nights accommodation and meals. Meals are inventive and nutritious, but if you prefer to have a meal out there are café’s nearby. Breakfast ingredients are provided (seasonal fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt and muesli) for you to enjoy in your own time. Vegetarian lunch and dinner with vegan and gluten-free options are served to you. A maximum of 5 guests means the retreat has a family feeling to it. Yoga classes are community classes so you will meet neighbours and make new friends from the Whangarei Heads community at these larger classes.
About Theda:
Theda’s journey on the wellness path was inspired by a love of nature and interest in our environment from her childhood in Northland, NZ. This led her to training in Environmental Science, Environmental Health and Sustainability. Theda has been working with essential oils for the past two years, initially treating her own respiratory and skin ailments. Observing the need for balance in the way humans interact with nature and their own body she began to deepen her knowledge through training in essential oils, as well as Shamanic practices and Reiki. She now enjoys sharing these benefits with others, including through a gentle, yet powerful Essential Oil Massage technique. Theda is based in the beautiful, subtropical paradise of Whangarei Heads, where she has established ‘white bear wellbeing’, providing her healing modalities and workshops locally.
“I enjoy working with people to help them achieve balance in their lives. I find myself continually amazed by the abilities of the human body when we provide the right conditions for healing. I believe that every person can achieve their best life through health.
