Itinerary:

Day One: Paris – Dijon

After meeting in Paris you'll move on to Dijon, where your crew will welcome you as you step aboard the private barge. This afternoon, you’ll enjoy cocktails and a delicious included dinner. What better way to get to know the group and start the cruise with a bang. (D)

Day Two: Dijon – Petit Ouges

This morning you'll return to dry land to enjoy a leisurely drive through the beautiful French countryside. Here, row upon row of vines and honey-stone villages will have you thinking you've slipped inside a romantic landscape painting.This afternoon, you'll climb back aboard the barge and depart for Petit Ouges. On this tour, you'll savour the journey just as much as your arrival at each destination – especially with the green and pleasant landscape of the Saône Valley rippling around us. As you go, you’ll enjoy both lunch and dinner on board. (B,L,D)

Day Three: Petit Ouges – Saint-Jean-De-Losne

Today, you’re free to simply sit back in our luxurious surrounds and take in some of France’s most sublime wine country – enjoying a tasty lunch as you drift down the canal. You’ll arrive in Saint-Jean-de-Losne late this afternoon, where there will be just enough time to take a walk or ride along the bike path before meeting for dinner at a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day Four: Saint-Jean-De-Losne – Dole

After breakfast, you’ll leave our barge moored alongside the riverboats lining the banks of Saint-Jean-de-Losne and stretch your legs with a walk around the town’s pretty streets. You’ll soon discover the port’s boating heritage and characteristic Saône Valley buildings. Back on board the barge you’ll cruise to Dole, this afternoon’s final destination, where you’ll share a meal together in town. (B,L,D)

Day Five: Dole – Ranchot

This morning you’ll take some time to explore Dole and its charming town centre. After settling down to lunch back on board the barge, you’ll set off for Ranchot – but you don’t have to cruise the whole way if you don’t want to. With bicycles on board for exclusive use, you could swap the decks for dry land and ride the bike path alongside the canal. When you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy another included dinner together on board. (B,L,D)

Day Six: Ranchot - Besancon

Today you’ll wake up to a leisurely morning as you cruise further along the Canal de Bourgogne. After lunch, you’ll board a coach and depart for Besançon, where you’ll have plenty of time to explore the area at your own pace. Later, you’ll tour the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Royal Saltworks before celebrating your final evening on the water with a gala evening dinner. (B,L,D)

Day Seven: Besancon – Palace of Fontainebleau – Paris

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll move on to the elegant Palace of Fontainebleau – one of the largest French royal châteaux. Then, you’ll bid farewell to our barge and reminisce on your tour on one last drive to Paris. (B)
