• Check and clean drain pipe or condensate pump if installed
• Check for vermin, lay bait for ants and cockroaches
• Check electrical system
• Check for any refrigerant gas leaks
• Check system fault diagnostics 
• Check temperature reading 
• Check for any abnormal noise or signs of deterioration
• Check and replace remote batteries if required 
• Check and change mode in your remote if required - depending on the season
