Forklift Beginners Course - Weekends Only

• Beginner Course: developed to engage beginners with the safe and efficient use of heavy counter-balance forklifts to enable them to engage with New Zealand’s essential logistics and transport industry

This course takes place over a period of two days and includes:

• A theory course on the operation of counter-balanced machinery
• A practical element to grow operator confidence
• A safety element to ensure all users have the skills and operational awareness needed to protect themselves and others in the workplace
• Health & Safety law and responsibilities explained
• Fundamentals of safe operation including machine dynamics and stability
• Pre-use inspections and hazard awareness
• Safe operation of the machine and associated components
• Safe handling of loads
• Safe task procedures
• Extra practical support
• The trainer is ITO registered 
• Course suitable for 16 years and over
• Two-day course or one full day (includes theory and practical classes)
• The learner will receive a digital cert and wallet ID card
