Central Otago Ruby's Gold Fortified Cherry Wine:

• Origin: Central Otago, New Zealand
• Producer: New Zealand Cherry Corp. with Tannacrieff Wines.
• Cherries: Approximately one kilogram of fresh cherries per bottle
• Size: 375ml
• Vintage: 2019
• Quantity: 12 bottles per case
• ABV: 16.5%

• 2019 in Central Otago was a slightly cooler year with a longer ripening season. This extended period and later harvest enabled the cherries used in this wine to ripen over a longer period and develop a greater intensity of flavour.
• Ruby’s Gold is best enjoyed lightly chilled, enabling the release of aromas of sweet cherries and soft spice.
• On the palate, the wine offers a taste of Christmas in the glass with hints of cinnamon, cloves and allspice interplaying with the intensity of the cherries.
• While there is some residual sweetness, a fine acidity runs through which makes this a versatile wine for the table. Enjoy with hard cheeses, pastry and egg dishes or even just by itself at the start or end of the evening. For the adventurous, this could be a wine to challenge spicy, heavy meat dishes; the alcohol and acid cutting through heavier, oilier textures.
