- Duration: 2 days
- About: This 57-kilometre stretch of the Whanganui River passes through classic King Country farmland, and includes many historic sites of interest as well as 79 rapids up to grade 2. You will need to book your DOC campsite ahead of your trip as there are no huts available on this stretch. Poukaria is recommended, which will give you two reasonably even paddling days.
