About Nelson Yacht Club:

Established in 1857, Nelson Yacht Club is the oldest sailing club in New Zealand. You can read all about their illustrious history in the book Sailors of 41⁰ South: Stories from the Nelson Yacht Club 1857-2007. Membership privileges include access to the club facilities; launching facilities, organised racing, patrol boat support, the Penguins Nest Cafeteria and club rooms, access to renting inside or outside boat storage, and the camaraderie of other sailors over a post sailing soft drink. This team of friendly professionals are focused not only on preserving the past, but preparing for the future, as seen in their current project, a Vision for Sailing in Nelson.
