Terms & Safety:
Weather & Cancellations: Trips run rain or shine and are only cancelled in severe weather or unsafe river conditions.
Low Water Levels (Grade 3 Tour): If river levels are too low, trips will be transferred to an alternative adventure of equal value (e.g., Little Akatarawa Canyoning, Waiohine Raft & Abseil, or Grade 2 Scenic Float). Any price difference will be adjusted or refunded accordingly.
Inherent Risk: Rafting, canyoning, and abseiling involve natural hazards, including river obstacles, raft flipping, slippery terrain, falling rocks, extreme weather, and road transport. Participants acknowledge these risks.
Guide Instructions & Safety: Participants (and guardians of minors under 15) must follow guide instructions and wear safety equipment at all times. Wellington Rafting reserves the right to deny participation to anyone endangering themselves or others, including those under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Liability & Waivers: A signed risk waiver is required prior to departure. To the extent permitted by New Zealand law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993), liability for personal injury, property loss, or trip disruption is excluded.
