The two-hour Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tour offers an entertaining experience combining the famous film set with a unique insight into rural New Zealand. Your tour starts with a drive through a picturesque 1,250-acre working sheep farm, complete with 13,000 sheep and 300 beef cattle, where you'll witness spectacular views right through to the Kaimai Ranges.

Since the films, the Hobbiton Movie Set has been returned to its natural state, but the hobbit holes, as well as various structures from behind the scenes, still remain, offering you a unique insight into a world of fantasy - and a glimpse into behind the scenes film-making. Your tour guide will escort you and your group through the 10-acre site recounting fascinating details on how the Hobbiton Movie Set was created.
