Hamilton Zoo is home to over 600 native and exotic animals, featuring large enclosures, beautiful walkways and tranquil surroundings.
There’s a lot to get around, but not to worry – you can take all day. Catch free zookeeper talks by our passionate team to learn more about the characters and personalities of our animals and their feeding and enrichment.
Bring a picnic and dine al fresco or stop by ‘The Hungry Morepork’ café for a delicious treat.
Open every day, except Christmas Day, from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Check out the website for a map and to see what’s happening around the zoo. Zoo news is announced there so if animal events, cute baby births or up close encounters are your thing – that’s the spot to watch.
