Deep tissue/sports massage:
Unlike other massage techniques that focus on relaxation, deep tissue massage helps to treat muscle pain and improve stiffness. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue. It may also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.
Reflexology:
The ancient Chinese practice of reflexology, a manual therapy focusing on the feet, has recently enjoyed a surge in popularity as a modern holistic therapy to relieve pain and stress. Your reflexologist may ask you about your medical history, health issues, lifestyle and diet.' They will then apply painless pressure to your feet using their thumb and forefinger to identify which areas of your body aren't functioning properly. Sessions usually last 30 to 60 minutes and focus on the soles of your feet, unless you are very ticklish, in which case they can massage your hands.
Acupressure and cupping:
The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to help relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.
Chinese massage:
Chinese Massage therapy is a holistic approach to health care that aims to provide relief from physical ailments, and also relaxes and revitalizes the body and mind. Chinese Massage stimulates the circulatory system and the nervous system.
