About Mount Maunganui Surf Academy:
You've probably seen the surfers carving it up at The Mount and thought about giving it a go. Well here's your chance to step up and do it. Mount Maunganui Surf Academy instructors offer beginners a safe, fun and relaxed atmosphere to get them standing up on a board. The instructor-to-student ratio is pretty gnarly with a max of six surfers per group, and the location is pretty epic too. The surf school is run by Andy Collins, a surfer with more than 20 years of experience, and all his instructors are qualified with first aid and lifeguard instruction.
