Well here's your chance to step up and do it. Mount Maunganui Surf Academy instructors offer beginners a safe, fun and relaxed atmosphere to get them standing up on a board. The instructor-to-student ratio is pretty gnarly with a max of six surfers per group, and the location is pretty epic too. The surf school is run by Andy Collins, a surfer with more than 20 years of experience, and all his instructors are qualified with first aid and lifeguard instruction. Mount Maunganui Surf Academy is celebrating 10 years as number one on Trip Advisor and the last two years with a certificate of excellence and number one on Google for three years.
