About The Pear Tree:
The Pear Tree is Kerikeri’s only waterfront restaurant and is named after the specimen planted in 1819 which still stands next to the restaurant. It is regarded as the oldest fruit tree in NZ and still produces fruit. Also on the property is the original Blacksmith’s forge. Like the original Pear Tree in the garden, this building is protected. Its old world charm makes it the perfect backdrop for photographs and it can also be hired out for private functions.
